Romance Op. 67- Alto Trombone and Piano, Camille Saint-Saens
This beautiful Romance, originally composed for Horn in E, is now added into the slowly growing repertoire of alto trombone music. With all the integrity of the original as well as common practice performance interpretations, this arrangement is a good start to learning how to play the alto (transposing the key to E flat makes all the difference). Not only is it a good piece fundamentally for the alto, it also presents simplistic beauty and demands great control over the whole range of the instrument from a musical point of view.
