Spectacle Décalé is a fun and quirky duet composed to portray the different aesthetics that one would experience at a touring French circus, which was common in America during the late 1800's. These shows would include seemingly strange, mystical, and often very cultural performances put on by the large European circus companies. People from all over came to the large cities to see these shows and these unique people. Much in the same way, this piece was composed to create a very normal, yet still strangely unique duet for both the performers and the audience.
